How can I be sure that dosbox with glide patches are hooking nglide properly? I can't see any output anyway, I've found some serious bugs running Descent 2 with the D23dfx 1.06b patch there's a video of what happens when I use ECE + nglide, plus the install.

Either way the game quickly becomes bugged by massive texture corruption on modern video cards. I'm using nvidia gtx 1070 with latest drivers. It would be great if there was some kind of text log file that you could enable that nglide put whenever it was being used to see what is being called/what functions are being activated.

Simply change Gamma correction to 1.5 and then to 0.5 in nGlide configurator. If it's brighter / darker nGlide is active.
Is the bug present only with DirectX Video backend?
What do you mean "quickly becomes bugged"? How long do I need to play the game to reproduce it? Which mode? Which mission?
