I have installed the nglide 2.0 and tried various sdb patches for the game, but none of them seem to make it better. Actually the printscrn made it look a bit worse than it actually is, but still I hope it could be the same as back in the day :( If someone else got it working fine, would you please...

Believe me or not, but MK4 was one of those games that convinced me to buy 3dfx Voodoo in 1998. ;)
It was also very important in the early days of nGlide's development, probably the first commercial title I used for testing.

Check if it has 3dfxgl.dll file in game root directory. If so, try changing gl_driver variable to: set gl_driver "3dfxgl" in baseq2\config.cfg.

Otherwise install Q2 patch 3.20.

Open nGlide configurator from the Start menu and set:

-Screen resolution: By desktop
-Refresh rate: By desktop
-Aspect ratio: Entire screen

Yes, it's a Glide API version limitation that is used in Rayman 2 (Glide 2.x to be exact). Glide 3.x supported much larger textures (up to 2048x2048), but rewriting Rayman's Glide driver (GliVd1vf.dll) to Glide3x wouldn't be a straightforward task. I'm not even sure if UBI drivers from that era have...

Simply change Gamma correction to 1.5 and then to 0.5 in nGlide configurator. If it's brighter / darker nGlide is active. Is the bug present only with DirectX Video backend? What do you mean "quickly becomes bugged"? How long do I need to play the game to reproduce it? Which mode? Which mi...
